I really have no idea why more self-help books are not written like this one. Instead of just a bullet point download of how to improve yourself in one area or another, this books takes that advice and makes it into a somewhat entertaining story. Follow two somewhat nerdy recent college grads who try and figure out this whole dating 'thing', with guidance and advice from their Yoda-like landlord John. Take the story for what it is, a means of conveying dating advice (for men really...may come across as a little sexist for others) and not a deep thought provoking novel. Well worth a read.
“Find Her: How to Find a Girlfriend in Five Weeks Without Really Trying” was a super fun read for me. I am a woman and have been married for thirty years, so reading about nerdy, virgin Gen-Z guys was out of my wheelhouse. That said, I found the advice given by Wade and Will’s older apartment manager, John, entertaining. I also think Gen-Zs who’ve developed social anxiety because of the pandemic could benefit from reading this book that promotes a Bachelor Nation (numbers game) approach to finding love. My only quip is with part of the title. Will and Wade do work at finding girlfriends and they make love a priority. A quirky, engaging read! This book made me smile.
I found this novel to be encouraging, entertaining and enthusiastic for each young man to reach their personal goal of finding that special someone. The story was written in a thoughtful and respective manner, considering the feelings of each young lady they encountered throughout their dating journey. An interesting analogy was applied to reach new levels playing video games to gain confidence in meeting new people and I appreciated the advice for men, and women, to the pros and cons of online dating or meeting at bars. So...if you've been "looking for love in all the wrong places," I highly recommend reading this book!

Older neighbor - landlord is giving advices to his new 25-27 year old tenants on how to ask the girl out and how to build the relationship. The book does have many techniques/phrases that can be used in real life. I was a bit annoyed of constant comparison with video-games, but maybe it's just me. I guess it can be useful for young men who have issues with social life and want tips on how to find a woman. One person found this helpful
